15ct gold, pearl and turquoise brooch, Duggin, Shappere & Co., Melbourne, early 20th century, modelled as a kookaburra perched on a branch, the chest embellished in seed pearls, the crown, back and tail decorated with turquoise, the eye accented with a synthetic ruby, the reverse engraved 'To Nell from Arthur', approximately 30 x 30 mm, signed Duggin, Shappere & Co.
