Jean Jacques Audubon was the birth name of John James Audubon, an American ornithologist, naturalist, and artist. Audubon was born in 1785 in what is now Haiti and is best known for his book "The Birds of America," which features detailed, life-size illustrations of more than 400 North American birds.
