William Norrie (1832–1909) was a New Zealand furniture maker and decorative artist. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1832, and emigrated to New Zealand with his family in 1852. He established a cabinetmaking business in Auckland in 1857, and quickly became one of the most respected furniture makers in the country. Norrie was known for his use of native New Zealand timbers, and his furniture was often inlaid with intricate designs. He also produced a range of decorative items, including clocks, mirrors, and picture frames.
