Jens Risom was a Danish-American furniture designer known for his significant contributions to the world of mid-century modern design, particularly during the 1960s and 1970s. He was born in Denmark and initially studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, where he was exposed to the principles of Scandinavian design and craftsmanship.
