Malagan mask, ex. Sir Russell Drysdale Estate, in light wood extensively carved with two side panels and fibre hair, shell eyes. Side pieces have had dowelling inserts attached. A/F, New Ireland,Papua New Guinea, height 78 cm. Provenance: ex. Sir Russell Drysdale collection, purchased from the estate of Maisie Drysdale at John Williams Auctions, Sydney, 30th June, 2002. Original letter from John Williams enclosed.
