Chang Woo Gow (born in Canton, China) visited Australia during 1870-71 as a side-show attraction, making public appearances in Melbourne, Ballarat, Bendigo and Sydney. He married his second wife, Catherine Santley, an Australian woman, towards the end of his tour.
