Thomas John Grant (act. New Zealand 1845-58), A Maori Marriage Ceremony', ink and watercolour, entitled. 11 cm x 19 cm. Grant saw service in the 58th Regt. in the New Zealand Wars, of fourteen works held in New Zealand institutions all are of Maori subjects, many copies of works by contemporaries such as Joseph Merrett and John Alexander Gilfillan
