A World War I New Zealand 9ct. yellow gold 'Token of Honour', shield form pendant with crossed rifles and monogram 'N.Z.', all with crown coronet, the reverse presentation engraved 'A Token of Honour to 6/3090 Cpl. W.H. March From Waterton Residence. Great War 1915-18', and with stamped New Zealand maker 'W.J. Wesney'. Note: Waterton is in the mid-Canterbury district, the maker Mr William James Wesney, who is little recorded, is noted as 'a talented young jeweller of Otautau and Riverton in Southland from 1916'. Other tokens by Wesney are mentioned online and a single example is held in the collection of Te Papa Museum
