Two rock crystal waterpots, Qing Dynasty, 19th century, comprising one of segmented fruit form, carved on the exterior with tree shrews on a fruiting branch, using the russet markings in the translucent stone, the other of peach form with a monkey on a branch in relief. -2. 7 cm wide, 5 cm wide. Provenance: Sotheby's London, 9 March 1976, part lot 22. Zorich Collection, Adelaide.

  • Qing Dynasty - The Qing Dynasty was the last imperial dynasty of China, ruling from 1644 to 1912. It was established by the Manchu people, who originated from the northeastern region of China. The Qing Dynasty was preceded by the Ming Dynasty and followed by the Republic of China.
