A celadon jade and paste-inset gilt-metal ruyi sceptre, 19th/20th century, the arched sceptre inlaid with three celadon jade plaques carved in relief with shou characters and ribonned emblems, all set in the gilt metal frame repousse with boys carrying further ribonned emblems and holding a large vase of precious objects, the head plaque encircled with green and red paste insets around the edge, the sides with key-fret borders. 49 cm long. Compare with a white jade and paste-inset gilt-copper sceptre dated to the 18th/19th century, sold Sotheby's, Hong Kong, 7 April 2015, lot 3664.
