An uncommon Edwardian silver Australian themed embossed card case, decorated with a kangaroo, the front with standing kangaroo within a natural foliage setting classical scrolls framing the reverse with classical C-scroll and trellis embossing. Birmingham 1907 by C. & W. Padgett, noted case makers. 10.1 cm x 7 cm. Provenance: The Flower Family Collection.

It follows the Victorian period, in turn was followed by the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles. In Australia, designs of this period are also known as being in the Federation style.
