Two Chinese octagonal Bagua bowls, Tongzhi mark and period (1861-1875), one bowl of shallow form with a high foot, decorated to the interior with the yin-yang symbol comprising a grey and a red fish, surrounded by the bagua trigrams to the cavetto in gilt outlined with iron red, with a six character iron red mark for Tongzhi to the base. The other bowl decorated to the interior with turquoise enamel, and to the exterior with the bagua trigrams in gilt outlined with iron red, with a six character iron red mark to the base for Tongzhi, and two further post-production marks including a drilled family mark and a red painted mark within a circle, the wider bowl 5 cm high, 19.5 cm diameter. The turquoise interior bowl 7 cm high, 17.5 cm diameter.
