A fine quality semi antique hand knotted American Saruq rug, wool and silk pile on cotton, the field finely knotted with scrolling tendrils and florals including pairs of herons, hawks and peacocks, rich tones of claret red, indigo blue and turquoise green dominate, the border guard with floral panelled decoration. 215 cm x 130 cm.
