Three Indentures from the Hawkesbury river Region. Indenture of Apprenticeship dated 20th February, 1854 between Thomas Flannery & Mr John McCutcheon. Thomas, a minor above the age of twelve years, was to be taught the business & trade of tanner & currier however, it only lasted five months as there is an absconders information note (included) taken out by Mr McCutcheon at the Windsor Police office in July. The Information reads in part '- that on the Eleventh day of July instant - Thomas Flannery did absent himself from the service of - his master - contrary to the Act - the said John McCutcheon prayeth that the said Thomas Flannery May be apprehended for the said offence and dealt with according to law;' indenture of Apprenticeship between Richard Arnold of Windsor & his Son Charles Arnold, age thirteen & James Upton of Cornwallis who will teach Charles the business of Agriculturist or Farmer, 1872; & indenture of Apprenticeship between Eliza Ezzy of Richmond Road & her Son Andrew John Ezzy, age thirteen & Samuel Hoskisson who will teach Andrew the business of Grazier & Stockkeeper. 1874.
