Four 19th century Australian political letters and pamphlets. 11th January, 1858 Clark Irving's address to the Electors of Northumberland & hunter. Printed form sent as an entire letter with manuscript on one page. Postmarks for Windsor & Sydney; 2 manuscript letters on printed free trade Association letterheads 408, Pitt Street, Sydney, 5 Dec 1864; political pamphlets, letters etc 1912 to 1943 all concerned with a Mr W.E.J. Weller who during this period was, it seems, a Nationalist candidate, a United country party candidate, a Labor supporter & a member of the Australian Anti-German league. One letter to Mr Weller 15 August, 1919 is signed by C.E.W. Bean; & Voting paper. Election for the north riding of Cumberland. Polling day, Friday, December 11, 1857. 1 Vote for Thomas Whistler Smith to be a member of the Legisative assembly of New South Wales.
