Tom Corrigan: Rare plaque with mounted metal bust on original wood shield with original maroon velvet covering, with the cast heading 'Late Tom Corrigan'. The bust a cast metal image of Corrigan inside a horse-shoe, with the reins, jockey's cap and two horses feet. Both sides and top corners embellished with cast metal vine leaves, and a cast metal racehorse ridden by Corrigan at base, overall 37 x 45 cm. (Tom Corrigan (1854-1894) was an Australian steeplechase jockey who died as a result of injuries sustained while racing. His funeral cortege, led by 150 trainers and jockeys, was the largest seen in Melbourne to that time).
