A circa 1907 AA Class (AA574) steam locomotive (255 x 40 x 57 mm) being the A2 version introduced in 1907 to be used on express/premier services hauling the heavier E type passenger carriages which came into service in 1906, red-brown livery with deep brown trim, 4-6-0 wheel configuration, with rolling stock comprising two E type passenger carriages, total size 840 x 40 x 60 mm. (4 items) (the A2 was the main express passenger locomotive on Victoria Railways for over 40 years, hauling both intrastate and interstate services. They were responsible for an acceleration of timetables on many lines and famously hauled the 'Geelong Flier' service slashing journey times down to 55 minutes from around 90 minutes. They were built at Newport, Ballarat north or the Bendigo Workshops. the A2 was finally superseded in 1951 with introduction of the new R Class).
