Views taken in any part of Victoria', both the albumen print and mount are in fine condition. The young footballer posing in Burman's studio was probably a member of one of Melbourne's early suburban football teams. Arthur Burman's studio was located at this address at the top end of Bourke Street between 1878 and 1888.
