A pair of Crown Lynn Wharetana Maori Art Pottery 'Tiki' bookends, as stylised reclining figures supported by Maori carved posts, recorded as 'Taken from the Recumbent Tiki Usually found on the Tau Rapa (carved stern post of canoe)', on stylised Maori carved plinths, impressed model number '020' to base of each, green dominant glaze with variable brown over-glaze to post and plinth. Height 14.5 cm, length 13.5 cm ea. circa 1945-1952.
