James Northfield, (Australian, 1887-1973). Australia, c1930s. Colour lithograph, signed in image lower left, 101 x 64 cm. Linen-backed. Text includes 'Australian National Travel Association. Northfield Studios & J.E. Hackett.', This rare poster is probably an earlier version of the standard issue of this image, which is captioned Australian Parrots, printed in slightly muted colours, with a tree line behind the lake instead of clouds, and no grazing horses centre left. The previous example of this poster offered for public sale was sold by Leski Auctions in May 2019 for $Au 7,767 (including buyers premium).
