A Chinese white jade plaque of an Apsara, Liao Dynasty (907-1125) or Jin Dynasty (1115-1234), carved as a flying celestial being surrounded by flowing scarves and clouds. Later mounted as a brooch. Provenance: the de Voogd collection, 3.5 cm high, 7.1 cm wide, 1 cm deep. A small broken section between the upheld hand and the head of the figure approximately 26 gm total weight.
