A late 19th century opal chip bar brooch, the central domed section set with opal chips in the form of a bird in flight. The bar and mount in 9ct yellow gold, stamped '9c'. Provenance: The Ruth Simon Collection, privately acquired from the above in 2005, Literature: Anne Schofield, Kevin Fahy, 'Australian jewellery 19th and early 20th century', page 136.
