Hawthorn: the central section of Weg's 1963 premiership poster (with 'Herald' and 'Premiers' excised) for the losing team. Fair/Good condition. A great rarity, we have previously sold this example and know of no others. 41 x 51 cm. The 1963 Grand Final, attended by 101,209 spectators, was won by Geelong by a margin of 49 points, marking that club's sixth premiership victory and their first since winning the 1952 VFL Grand Final. Hawthorn, having won in 1961 would not win their next Grand Final until 1971, winning twice again in the 1970s.
