[Judaica]., the ten Commandments' a pen and ink 'Mizrach', the introductory verse and first words of each commandment rendered in Hebrew script, surrounded by ornate decorations and repeated circles, squares, diamonds and architectural forms, endorsed in a box at base 'Presented to Montague and Deborah marks by Montague Levey. 5637: 1877'. Framed && glazed, overall 59 x 47.5 cm., Mr. Montague Levey, a very old resident of Sydney, died at his residence, Wynyard-square, last night, between 11 and 12 o'clock. Mr. Levey had not been in very robust health of late, and within the last fortnight caught a severe cold, from the effects of which he never rallied. The deceased gentleman's remains are to be interred to-morrow. Mr. Levey, who had amassed considerable wealth, took an active part for many years in charitable and philanthropic movements. He was connected with some of our public institutions, and any efforts for the social and intellectual advancement of the citizens or the amelioration of distress had his ready sympathy and support.'
