Classical-style Marble Bust of Woman with Weathered Surface

A marble bust of a woman, modern, in the classical Greek style, on ebonised plinth. Height 36 cm. Provenance: from the contents of Swanton (built 1827), Sutton Forrest, NSW. Condition: bust is weathered and has surface dirt. Extensive losses to nose and some losses and pitting to the upper lip, eyebrow and chin. Similar pitting tot he hair, section of hair loss on left hand side, also chips and losses to section of hair next to neck on left hand side.
