The first 25 examples of this edition were numbered and accompanied by a man ray photograph of Barbette, posthumously printed by Gassmann; the present example is out of series (ie. Unnumbered) but it is accompanied by a silver bromide print, c.1977, of the photograph reproduced on page 21, 'Le travesti Barbette, 1926'; 30 x 22 cm, verso stamped 'Man ray / Paris' and 'Tirage originale realise par Pierre Gassmann.'. Provenance, from the estate of the publisher, Jacques Damase.
