A Chinese blue and white dragon box, Wanli mark and of the period (1572-1620), the rectangular box decorated to the sides with a repeating scrolling lotus design, and to the lid with an ascending five-clawed dragon and descending phoenix. Six-character mark for Wanli within a double rectangular to the base. Together with an associated old Japanese hardwood stand. 5 cm high, 10 cm wide, 8 cm deep.
