A fine 18th century Beauvais tapestry, depicting the story of 'The love of the Gods'. Apparently, one of a series of 5, depicting Venus and Mars. Apparently one other is at Highclere castle, of Downton Abbey fame, plus two are within a Museum in Rouen. With receipt from 'Orientalist', London, dated 11/9/2000, total price 41,125 including Vat, width 296 cm, height 320 cm
