A pair of Chinese porcelain yenyen shape vases, painted in famille rose enamels with phoenixes standing on rocks beneath flowering peonies and magnolias on a cloudy teal ground. With copy of 1987 typescript page mentioning the vases as 'Pair of 16' Chinese Vases (Obtained at the Sacking of the Emperor's Summer Palace in Peking in August, 1855:)' height 39 cm.
