A painted red pottery figure of a horse Tang dynasty, standing four square on a rectangular base, the head turned slightly to one side, a saddle and saddle cloth on its back, an aperture for the tail, traces of coloured pigments, 44 cm high. Provenance, Annie Trotter ancient Art, London, 7 June 1995, sold with a copy of their invoice. Private Collection, Melbourne
