A middle Sepik mask, Papua New Guinea. Oblong face with domed forehead and extended nose pierced through the septum, cowrie inlaid eyes. The lower half of the face bordered by a fibre ruff, the upper half adorned with incised motifs and white and red pigments decorative highlights. Provenance: from the collection of Keith St Cartmail.
