A vintage emerald and diamond ring, featuring one bezel set cushion mixed cut emerald of reported weight 0.35 carats, in centre of cluster design, surrounded by twelve old European cut diamonds of reported total weight 2.50 carats. 18ct white gold. In clocks, the bezel may include a hinge and a flange, in effect a door to the face of the clock. In jewellery the bezel is a band of metal with a projecting lip that holds the gemstone in its setting.
