1850s-1960s Maritime & Military correspondence relating to Reginald Roose Francis including letters, photographs, ephemera & documents from throughout his career as a purser on board the Orient Line Rms 'Ophir', 'Otway' & 'Omrah' from 1908-11; then during World War I he served as an Officer in the Royal Fusiliers; later as Director of London's Maritime Lighterage Company; 1920s-60s includes press clippings, World War II letters & airgraphs, menus, invitations & greeting cards; the final album includes family letters & ephemera dating back to the 1850s, all housed in five matching leather clamshell document boxes.
