Tropicalised Transmitter for Pacific Island Spotters

AWA: Teleradio 3BZ Transmitter type J50062 numbered #430, with working instructions within the detachable lid. This particular model, developed in 1942 was, tropicalised, to minimise the onset of mildew, rot and fungus; size 25 x 40 x 25 cm, weight 21kg, c.1942. During World War II the RAN arranged for many civilian user, spotters, located in the Pacific Islands region, to receive these 3B sets to alert authorities of any suspicious activities.
