18ct white gold, black opal and diamond suite, Fairfax and Roberts, Sydney, early 20th century. Composed of a lavalier pendant and earrings, the pendant collet-set with an oval shaped and pear-shaped black opal cut en cabochon, between stylised openwork connectors highlighted with old European-cut diamonds, necklace length 382 mm. The pendant earrings, en suite, each suspending an oval opal cut en cabochon weighing approximately 1.46 carats and similarly highlighted by diamonds, length 30 mm, post and butterfly fittings, accompanied by a Fairfax and Roberts, Sydney fitted box.
