New South Wales V Queensland: Sheffield Shield: Brisbane, October, 1928: the official NSW team photograph by Sidney Riley, Brisbane, with Kippax as Captain and the very young Don Bradman in the back row. Laid down on the original backing card, overall 30 x 38 cm. New south Wales won the shield, with Bradman scoring the most runs in the whole competition, 893. Provenance: from the estate of 'Hal' Hooker. In the 1928/29 competition he became the first player to take four wickets in successive balls in a Sheffield shield match.
