Don Bradman: Australia vs India, 1st test, Brisbane, Nov.28: Dec.2, 1947: original press photograph (the Courier mail, Brisbane), showing Bradman on the ground in his cricket gear looking skyward alongside a besuited Indian Captain Lala Armanath, 21.5 x 16.5 cm. Australian commenced the test series with a dominant performance in the first test, scoring 382 for 8 (declared) in the first Innings, Bradman scoring a stroke-filled 185, then bowling India out for 58 and 98 to win the game by an Innings and 226 runs, bowler Ernie Toshack returning match figures of 11 for 31.
