Gilt Buddha a rare possibly 'Shakyamuni' in sitting position on a double lotus bed. Base made from cast bronze, (possibly later). Possibly from the Malay Kingdom of Srivijava 7AD to 13AD East Java Indonesia. Height 28 cm. With certificate.

    It is very fluid in a molten state, and its hardness, strength when set, and non-corrosive properties makes it most suitable for casting sculpture.
