A rare Doulton Lambeth stoneware vase by mark V. Marshall (Act. 1878-1912), of compressed ovoid shape with foliate pattern to the walls incorporating sculpted elements. In typical majolica tones on a cobalt ground. incised artist's monogram and impressed factory marks. Height 165. $1100
