A large red buoy shipping navigation lamp, 64kg. Height 80 cm. This buoy light made by AGA of Brentwood and supplied to Trinity House based at the Tower of London. Trinity House was given the Royal Charter by Henry VIII in 1514 to improve the state of shipping on the Thames. It later expanded to provide safe shipping around all UK coastal waters including the world's busiest shipping corridor the Dover Straits. This example SW0460 was never issued and is a rare 'as new' example.
