Convict Tin used to transport and store leave passes and tickets of leave (8 x 5.5 cm), together with a London Emigration Committee sponsored facsimile broadside headed 'Female Emigration to Australia' inviting applications from females between the ages of 15 to 30 of good character and for a payment of £5, to travel aboard the 'David Scott' to start a new life in Australia (where pay rates for domestic employment were significantly higher); framed and glazed, overall 56 x 43 cm; also a framed & glazed facsimile of an 1840 'Ticket of Leave' for convict Thomas Beaton.
