Mies van der Rohe (designer), a pair of Barcelona chairs, in black leather and chromium plated steel. Originally designed for the German pavilion at the 1929 World Fair, such was their success that they went into production soon after. This pair manufactured in the 1980s. The design was inspired by the ancient folding chairs of Greece and Rome, the chair is today recognised as one of the leading design objects of the twentieth century., 78 x 75 x 75 cm

- Barcelona Chair - One of the most enduring forms from the Art Deco period, the Barcelona chair consists essentially of two leather cushions slung on a curving tubular steel frame. Originally designed in 1929 by the architect Mies Van Der Rohe, for the German pavilion for the International Exposition of 1929, which was hosted by the city of Barcelona, Spain. The chairs are still being manufactured by Knoll Inc. but there are numerous unauthorized copies also available.
