This was a highly successful tour for Graham McKenzie, playing all five Tests and becoming the leading Australian wicket taker with 24 wickets at 26.00. He took 5 for 65 and 3 for 67 in the 2nd test at Durban, helping Australia secure their only test match win of the tour, South Africa going on to win the series 3-1.
