Essendon: 16th Dec.1957 printed letter on Efc letterhead, signed by club secretary W.H. Cookson, to Mr. B. Wells of Mitcham, informing him that he is to be invited to 'come along to training next year.....we would like to know at your earliest convenience whether you desire accommodation arranged and employment found.'. Although Bill Cookson (1900 - 1980) played only two games for Essendon, he went on to be An important member of the committee of management of the club, so much so that a stand was named in his honour at Windy hill.
