Tom Veivers collection: 1964 Ashes Tour of England: P & O Orient lines SS Orcades souvenir programme (initialled 'T.V.' on front cover) containing individual signed images of the 17 players in the touring party including Veivers, Bobby Simpson (Capt.), Brian Booth, Wally Grout, Bill Lawry, Norm O'Neill & Graham McKenzie; also team photo postcard (promoting Australian produce on reverse) and a copy letter from Tom Veivers, explaining this to be the last tour to England by ship, and describing the training facility arrangements on the Orcades. (3 items). Tom Veivers played 21 test for Australia scoring 813 runs at an average of 31.26 and taking 33 wickets at an average of 41.66 with his right-arm off-spin. In the 4th test at old Trafford in 1964 Veivers bowled the highest number of ball by an Australian in a test match innings completing 95.1 overs taking 3 for 155, including an unbroken spell of 51 overs and one ball.
