pre-European fired Inanga hei tiki, stone tooled with rich dark colouration due to the firing process, type I form with forward-looking gaze and three-fingered hands to the thighs. Unusual carved crescent shape to the upper right of the forehead. Two countersunk suspension holes at the top of the head, one intact. Provenance: Dame Jenny Gibbs collection, 9 cm length.
