Inanga Pounamu Hei Tiki with Provenance

19th century pounumu hei tiki, classic type I form carved in inanga variety stone. Head tilted to the right with hands to thighs. Suspension hole at the top. Provenance: given to the current owner's family from the family of Moana Ngata from Rangitukia. Also associated with Henare potae. 9 cm length.
