Whaley Hartlepool 'Improved Sympiesometer', a sympiesometer is a type of barometer based on the compression of hydrogen gas for more accurate readings. The mercury thermometer is needed to calculate the expansion or contraction of the fluid in the barometer proper. A good 19th century example. Requires a service. 64 cm.
