Artek, wall sconce, model A910, designed c. 1990, in the style of Alvar Aalto, louvered white-painted steel shade, hand-riveted, faulty (A/F), height 20 cm, width 27.5 cm depth 18 cm. Provenance: Anibou, Sydney. This lamp was launched in the 1990s, and its design is based on the series of lamps that Alvar Aalto designed in the '50s for the National Pensions Institute of Helsinki.
