Other Notes: Elizabeth Keith was born in Scotland and at age 28, traveled to Japan where she remained for nine years and produced watercolours and exhibited at small exhibitions when Watanabe, the acclaimed Shin Hanga publisher, saw her work and convinced Keith to try her hand at woodblock printing.
